About Best AI For This

There are thousands of AI tools and nobody has time to try them all. We pick the few that matter for the job you're doing — vibe coding, game dev, agents, video, writing, research — and say exactly how well we know each one.

What makes us different

• Stacks, not lists. Each scenario recommends 3–6 tools that work together, plus a free alternative.
• Visible test depth. Every tool is labelled Researched, Tried or Tested on a real task. We never call research “hands-on”.
• Rankings can't be bought. Scores come from a public formula; sponsorship has zero weight.
• Dated facts. Every price and fact links to its source and shows when we checked it.

Who it's for

Builders, indie hackers, vibe coders, AI-agent tinkerers, game developers and gamers who are curious about AI.

How it's made

Content is stored as structured data and updated by automated research scripts, with sources recorded for every fact. Mistakes happen: if you spot one, tell us (see Submit a tool) and we'll correct it publicly.
